So, for a while I've felt inclined to find a "set" of deities, or a specific cultural pantheon to invoke during spells, but I haven't had much luck with it. I am most comfortably with Hellenic deities, but I feel a little bad invoking deities when I haven't devoted myself to their worship, per say. I have never actually worshiped any sort of deity. I view deities more as personifications of energy, or vessels through which I may send energy of a specific intent.

Is this wrong? Is this offensive to those who believe more strongly in the manifest or existence of deities? Some of these worries are self-contradictory in thought, but I can't help but wonder...
